Flight
Although the wedding location is closer to Belfast, we recommend flying into Dublin. It is a much larger airport and provides better departure and arrival times and direct flights from Toronto.
Flight
If your trip and schedule allow, Belfast International Airport is another option. This is closer to BallyGally Castle Hotel and located in Northern Ireland.

We recommend everyone stay at the Ballygally Castle Hotel for the duration of the wedding. We suggest staying for two nights, Monday September 1st and Tuesday September 2nd. A room block has been reserved for our guests for both of these dates. Each room is based on double occupancy. Travel Note
Ballygally Castle is located 2 hours 30 minutes from Dublin by car. Car Hire companies are located at the airport and we recommend that you book an automatic car in advance of your arrival. Don't forget, in Northern Ireland they drive on the left hand side and operate speed limits in miles. There are train and bus options from Dublin. You will need to take two trains or a combination of bus/train to get to the hotel. There are currently no direct rail services operating to or from Dublin Airport, you must travel into Dublin city to catch a train however Dublin Express runs from Dublin Airport to Heuston Station Train Station, Tara Street Station at the George's Quay stop and Pearse Station. Use the websites listed below to help plan your trip. The nearest train station to the hotel is Larne, which is approximately 10 minutes by bus or taxi from the hotel The hotel can also help you arrange a private airport transfer or can recommend the most suitable means of transport for your journey. Please contact the hotel Reception Team by email guest@bgc.hastingshotels.com who will be happy to help you organize your travel.
Travel Note
Dublin is in the Republic of Ireland but the wedding takes pace in Northern Ireland which is part of the United Kingdom. The two states share a Common Travel Area and there is no passport control when travelling between the two. There are two different currencies used, in Northern Ireland you will need Pound Sterling and in the Republic you will need Euros.
Travel Note
Starting January 8, 2025 Canadian citizens are required to obtain an Electronic Travel Visa (ETA) to enter the United Kingdom. It is a simple process and everyone planning on attending the wedding will need to apply with the passport they will have at the time of travel. It costs £10 ($18) to apply. Everyone travelling needs to get an ETA, including babies and children. You will usually get a decision within 3 working days, but you may get a quicker decision. Each person must apply separately. Your ETA lasts for 2 years. You can travel to the UK as many times as you want during that time. You can apply after January 8, 2025 at the link below.
