FAQs

If you have any questions, other than what we've listed here, contact Lisa or Scott ASAP so we can add it to the FAQs. Thanks!
Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Short answer: Yes! Long answer: At 9PM we will transition to adults-only. Why? Because to quote Prince: "tonight we're gonna party like it's nineteen ninety-nine". So, if you're staying at the Hotel Kabuki (selfishly we hope you are so we can hang out all night), we will be helping organize on-site baby-sitters for the little ones...so if you're a parent traveling with a little one...let us know before May 15th (or ASAP) so we can get on that.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please let us know in advance if you are planning on bringing someone extra. Won't be a problem but we just want to plan accordingly.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

First off, it's San Francisco in the summer. Which means = it's freakin COLD here. When the fog rolls in, the temperature drops. So one minute it's nice and sunny, next minute...winter has come. So have layers ready to put on. Secondly, this wedding is not going to be very formal or traditional. IT IS going to be fun and festive and comfortable. So it you need to wear sneakers with your dress---then "just do it". If your tux is at the cleaners and won't be back in time for the wedding- good!, then put on a nice pair of slacks and button down shirt and call it a day. All we care about is that you're smiling when the pictures are being taken. And that you're comfortable and ready to dance your asses off til morning! So ladies...I'm bringing my pink fuzzy comfy house slippers to this party!

Question

RSVP?

Answer

Yes. We need to know you're coming. And we have more wedding details to figure out- which includes knowing whether or not you are participating in this shindig. So check your calendars now because you have til MAY 15th to let us know (feel free to reply sooner).

Question

Are you registered?

Answer

We sure are. There's a link on our wedding website to our registry. We will also have a table set-up in the Sakura Room that will have a box for envelopes.

Question

What are the wedding festivities?

Answer

In an ideal world we would love to have EVERYONE join us for every aspect of our wedding. But after crunching numbers we quickly realized that that was not viable. So in full transparency, we are having a very small ceremony with family & close friends earlier in the day. Afterwards that group will have dinner. BUT THEN at 8PM the ACTUAL wedding festivities will kick in! We will be hosting a wedding themed dance party/celebration/sprinkled with newly marital cheer at the Hotel Kabuki's Sakura Room. There will be killer music and beverages a flowing- with speeches (hopefully not too embarrassing) & toasts & dancing & DESSERTS! And did I mention a photo booth (one of us is part Asian & having a photo booth was non-negotiable). Also, we'll have an open bar, but at a certain point it will turn into a cash bar. So. 8PM SHARP Wedding festivities begin. Arrive by 8pm. Wait in the hotel lobby for someone to escort you to the Sakura Room. WARNING: Come prepared to dance dance dance!!!

Question

Booking a guest room at the Hotel Kabuki

Answer

We have reserved a block of rooms. We are getting a discounted price for these rooms (they are very reasonably priced - as far of hotel rates go in San Francisco). Call the Hotel Kabuki at this number: 415-614-5423. The block of rooms is under the name: Scott & Lisa HANNA Wedding. Let us know if there are any issues with booking rooms- so we can help troubleshoot it from our end :)

Question

Open bar all night?

Answer

Sadly, no. Libations will be provided for the beginning part of the evening and then at some point it will turn into a cash bar. So please plan accordingly ;)

For all the days along the way
