Our story began in January 2022 in Lubbock, Texas. During our first date at Fuzzy's, Kaitlyn teased Scott about eating on a flour tortilla, which Kaitlyn would later find out, is the moment that Scott knew he wanted to marry her. A few short months later, we began a season of long distance as Kaitlyn began her career in Fort Worth while Scott took a victory lap around Texas Tech and finished his degree. In July of 2025 Kaitlyn thought they were taking a couple's trip to Washington DC, but Scott had a trick up his sleeve. In the beautiful gardens surrounding the National Cathedral, Scott got on one knee and asked the question Kaitlyn was impatiently waiting for, "Will you marry me?" What started with tacos, laughter, and a little good-natured teasing, has grown into a love story we're excited to continue as husband and wife.
