Gresly was born in New Jersey and moved to Florida at a very young age. After graduating high school, Gresly went to school for paralegal studies and has been working in the legal field ever since. Life has thrown some curve balls, but her most outstanding achievement in life is her two boys, Tyler and Ethan. Gresly loves to travel and making memories with the ones that she loves. Gresly is happy to have Scott as part of her family.
Scott Thomas
Groom
Scott was born in Pottsville, PA but moved to Florida in 2018. Dedicated to public service, he previously was elected to the Pottsville Area School Board and most recently serves as Chairman of CareerSource Pinellas. As the Regional Human Resources Director for ProMedica, Scott has the opportunity to do one of his favorite things- travel. Gresly was Scott’s first date in 2018 when he moved to Florida and after four years, they met up again to begin an everlasting love.

Gresly met Jennifer at work, and they instantly became the best of friends. Over the years, Jennifer has become her confidant, therapist, and her very own love guru. The bride and groom are so thankful to have her standing by their side on this big day.

Brian is honored to be selected as Scott's best man. The two met while running for the school board of the Pottsville Area School District. Brian's favorite memories are sharing adventures with Scott, including their trips to Las Vegas, Boston, and Florida. Brian is looking forward to Scott's marriage, as Scott's one million phone calls per day will no longer be wedding related. Brian is the Business Manager for Shikellamy SD and resides in Pottsville, PA.
Jhordan Oviedo

Gresly met Jhordan through her sister, and she has always considered Jhordan to be a part of her family. They have grown so close over the years, and Jhordan has been there for her through everything in her life- the good times and the hard times. Jhordan has always offered a shoulder to cry on and been someone to have a great time doing absolutely anything with. Not only does Jhordan have the best style of anyone, but he would also help anyone in need. Thank you for everything you do. We are so happy to have you as part of our special day.

Sean has been a friend since high school and Scott’s first drinking buddy with a bottle of Boone’s Farm wine. In 2018, Scott visited Sean in Clearwater. Scott fell in love with the area and became a Florida resident shortly after. Sean works in pharmaceuticals and resides in Philadelphia, PA.

Gresly met Diana through family and friends and has always loved her. Their friendship has continued to grow closer over the years. Diana is not only smart, savvy, and stylish; she is one of the most caring people Gresly knows. We are both lucky to call her a friend.
Tim Ebert

Two guys walk into a bar … since then , through lots of Bucs games, trivia nights, and bar hopping Scott and Tim have become great friends. They share a mutual sense of adventure and Tim is excited to stand with Scott at the start of his biggest adventure yet. Cheers!

Gresly met Kedisha at a country concert several years ago. Through the years, they have attended many concerts together where there were plenty of laughs, some tears, and an occasional dance lesson. Kedisha has always had words of wisdom, no matter what was going on in life. We are so honored to have her be part of our special day.

Kyle is Scott’s cousin and former substitute babysitter. The two also grew up just a few blocks from each other in Pottsville, PA. Scott felt obligated to make Kyle a Groomsman as repayment for all the “Barney & Friends” episodes he made Kyle watch while babysitting him. Kyle is a former Army officer. He is a current Federal government employee and resides in the Washington, D.C. area.

Gresly met Jen through Jhordan a few years ago. During a crazy time in their lives, they bonded and became great friends. Gresly has become so much closer to Jen this past year, and we couldn't imagine having this big day without her. Jen is a beautiful person inside and out and won't let anything come in the way of achieving her goals in life, and she is definitely someone that inspires you to work harder and dream big.

In 2017 I was minding my own business running for State Representative in Florida, when a young man new to the area named Scott randomly reached out offering to help me on the campaign trail. I accepted his help and we quickly became friends. I didn’t end up winning that race, but Scott was there for me once again when I decided to give State Representative another go in 2021; this time I was successful! In addition to politicking, we’ve attended many baseball games together and shared many meals (he’s got some interesting eating habits). Honored to be a part of this special day!

Makayla is Scott’s first cousin, once removed (Kyle’s oldest child) and has always looked forward to Scott’s Washington, D.C. area visits. She is incredibly sweet and has a borderline photographic memory. Scott almost removed her from the wedding party because he is still bitter about consistently losing to her in a “Memory” card matching game. After Gresly told Scott to get over it, Makayla made the cut and is ready to strut her stuff down the aisle.

Tyler is the oldest of Gresly’s two boys. His interests include collecting legos and playing video games. Tyler is happy that Scott came into his life because now he gets home cooked dinners and is no longer eating meals from this moms instapot.

Ethan is the youngest son of Gresly. In his free time, he enjoys playing playing sports (especially baseball), swimming, playing video games, and loves animals.

A few years ago, Scott ran for Mayor of Pottsville with hopes of someday performing his own wedding ceremony. As we know, that didn’t work out, so for the big day, he turned to longtime friend Dan Daub – the Mayor of Tower City, PA since January, 2011. You’ve all heard of New York City – the City that never sleeps – well Tower City is the “city” that is always asleep (zzzz). Scott figured Dan would know a thing or two about marriage (actually, three times now), and also knew that Dan would understand the ceremony is the only thing standing between arrival time and the bar and party that will follow. Don’t expect a long, mushy ceremony here – his Honor loves 7&7s so I would expect a pretty brisk and fast moving service, so don’t be late!
