What are your plans in regards to COVID restrictions?

Answer

The safety of our guests is extremely important to us! The bride, groom, and our parents have been fully vaccinated and so have many of the bridal party and guests. As of May 16, the following precautions will be in place: -Hand sanitizer and masks will be available; but please bring your favorite mask! -All hotel staff will be wearing a mask. Extra sanitizing processes are in place throughout the event. -Masks required for all wedding guests during the ceremony -Masks can be removed any time guests are eating or drinking -Cookies and cupcakes will be individually wrapped... even COVID can't stop a Pittsburgh Wedding Cookie Table! -DANCE FLOOR IS OPEN! After the year we have had... its time to bust a move!! Please socialize & celebrate how you feel most comfortable. We understand these are uncertain times and appreciate your support near and far!

What is the After Party?

Answer

As many of you know... the bride and groom love late night beer and snacks! Everyone is invited to the After Party in the Pioneer Room, directly off the George Washington Hotel lobby. Late night snacks will be provided, but it will be a cash bar. Limo shuttle transportation is available to the Springhill Suites during and after the After Party.

Is there a local hotel I can spend the night?

Answer

Yes! We have a block of rooms available at the local Springhill Suites, with limo transportation to and from the venue. Please see the 'accomodations' tab for more details.

Are there a block of rooms at The George Washington Hotel, where the ceremony and reception will take place?

Answer

The George Washington is a vintage hotel, so it only has a limited amount of rooms available. These have been reserved for the Bridal Party and immediate family.

Question

Will there be transportation from the Springhill Suites to The George Washington Hotel?

Answer

Yes! There will be limo shuttle service for guests at the Springhill Suites. The limo will run before the ceremony, after the reception, and after the After Party. The shuttle will make to trips to the ceremony, at 3:10 and 3:30. Limo will transport guests back at their leisure from 10:00-2:00 am.

Is there parking at The George Washington Hotel?

Answer

Yes! Valet Parking is complimentary. Please pull off North Main Street into the narrow parking lot.

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

We love your kids-we really do! But this is an adult only event. Use our wedding as your night off!

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail dresses, suits, and your favorite dancing shoes!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! We will do our absolute best to accommodate. Please contact the bride, groom, or their parents directly.

Is there still a Welcome Party?

Answer

We initially had plans for a Welcome Party on the afternoon of Friday, May 21. Unfortunately the room we planned on using has closed, so we are unable host a party at this time. We will update the website if this changes.
