Scott and Claire met on a blind date at Trivia Night! Claire went to a wedding in June of that year for her friend, Lynn, who had Claire sit by Scott’s sister in law, Isobel. Claire’s friend, Lynn, and Scott’s sister-in-law, Isobel, schemed together and had Scott and Claire meet at trivia at Out of the Barrel in Campbell. Scott and Claire both brought the dogs on the first date, Remy and Tug, and all 4 of them hit it off!

Scott proposed at Calero Lake in Almaden and she had absolutely NO idea. Scott and Claire had plans to go waterskiing with their friends, Evan and Melissa and their two kiddos, Kyleigh and Justin, that day. Evan and Melissa were “running late,” but Scott told Claire to meet him early since he had to drop in the boat. Scott met Claire at the dock and nervously drove them out to their favorite cove on the lake. Before Claire knew it, Scott was on one knee and pulled out her dream ring. Scott’s best friend, Thane, then popped out of the bushes yelling and snapping pictures, while Evan and Melissa whipped around on their boat with an air horn. We had champagne on the boat and Scott surprised Claire again with his sister Nicole arriving at the dock with Tug and Remy in tow.
