Christina always likes to say: "He was my Chiropractor" Mostly for shock value. They technically met at her second Job interview with Dr. Brown’s office. However due to nerves she barely remembers that day. Scott was an associate Doctor and Christina was hired to do some outside marketing. Junior, an old Starbucks co-worker of Christina's helped her get the side gig, and forewarned her that, as he put it "There are a lot of hot doctors here, Christina... be careful" They did their first Spinal Screening together somewhere around mid September. For Christina it was practically love at first site! Mind you, she had zero clue Scott was even remotely interested. He was a Doctor after all, and Christina had only just turned 24. At the end of the spinal screening they were both starving (Shocking!) After Scott showed off a few of his roller hockey moves at the event venue, they headed to go grab lunch. Christina knew the greatest place. Scott ordered a burger and fries and Christina proceeded to order a GIANT SLOPPY JOE... and she ate every bite, plus some of Scott's fries. It was then that their Friendship, Foodie-ship, Frie-Stealing, and Love Story began.

How more apropos could a proposal in the Dominican Republic be? As this is their Cupid, Junior’s homeland! Late fall 2020 Scott was itching to go on a tropical vacation. It arose suspicions in Christina, but she tried not to look too far into it. Leading up to the trip Christina did all the usual pre-vacation rituals; nails, pedicure, even a spray tan for the first time. They finally landed in DR and got to the resort, at about 3pm. They were both exhausted and pretty badly jet-lagged. Night two came and went with no proposal. Christina was pretty disappointed. She even texted her sister, Maid of Honor, Julianne. She reminded her that it was still going to be a fun and relaxing vacation, and to not over think it and have fun! The next morning with a new mindset, Christina was ready to put expectations aside and just immerse in tropical luxury. They had a couple’s spa package booked! It was one of the most fun, hilarious and romantic days of their lives. Complete with over an hour of water rituals. We're talking the works! Sauna, Steam Room, Turkish Baths, Aroma Therapy Room, Hot and Cold plunge pools... and don't forget the "bubbles" in a *Caribbean Hispanic Accent* Then this led them to the couples massage.They giggled and laughed through the entire 3+ hour processes. They both left the spa absolutely floating on a cloud and agreed,“We somehow felt closer than ever before.” That evening, a still clueless Christina was getting ready for their romantic dinner, while sipping Champagne. They had a beautiful delicious surf and turf dinner. Following the dinner they headed on a moonlit walk on the beach. The night was gorgeous and serene. The moon was super huge and bright, lighting up the sky, but it was also crazy windy! Scott turned around and looked at Christina with this adorable gaze… and then… they kept walking. Christina absolutely knew that this was not the trip. With that in mind they headed to their favorite bar on the resort grounds. There they met these two cute 20-somethings who had grown up in DR. They complemented Christina on her white jumpsuit commenting that it gave them "Bridal Vibes" and that it "made that booty pop" Scott grabbed Christina one more Champagne refill while chatting up the girls. Christina could see him smiling from the distance. Little did Christina know that they were hounding him about when was he going to pop the question?! Christina was ready to go back to the room and hop into the private hot tub! Together, they walked back to the room, petting and feeding the resort cat, affectionately named many names; they dubbed her "Mama Juana" after the national libation of the Dominican Republic. When they got back to the room, faster than she's ever changed an outfit in her life, Christina was in her bikini before Scott was even back inside from filling the hot tub. He looked so confused and slightly sad and said "You already changed?... but we haven't even taken any pictures yet" Christina changed back into her white jumpsuit, Scott set up the camera for some selfies, put it on video and got down on one knee and said.... "Christina, will you marry me?" Alone in that room, just the two of them, Scott asked Christina to be his wife. There were tears, mostly from Scott actually. Christina was in absolute shock. She just kept saying "Oh My Gosh!!!" There was also a lot of touching Christina's butt. Clearly— Scott's nervous habit. They FaceTimed their Parents and Siblings. Everyone of course thrilled, and they all knew! Julianne was in on the entire ring picking processes for months ahead. Scott even managed to ask both Christina's Mom and Dad for her hand in marriage, and got it all recorded on video. Most girls think about the moment the love of their life will propose and wonder how it will all go down, what will happen, what will the ring look like. “Ours was beyond perfect.” She said. Christina absolutely loved the ring Scott Picked, and she's so honored that he picked her!
