Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Camilla Poulsson and Scott Kirby
Jervis Bay is a small coastal town known mainly for its beautiful beaches and landscapes, with plenty of walks and outdoor activities on offer. There are vineyards not too far away if anyone feels like a day out, and lots of great cafes and drinking holes in Huskisson for those who don't want to go far. Below is a list of some of the best bits to see and do in the area.
Hyams Beach

Hyams Beach

Hyams Beach, NSW 2540, Australia

The famous beach with the "whitest sand in the world".

Steamers Beach

Steamers Beach

JBT, Australia

This is easily the most beautiful and isolated beach we have found in the area. It is a bit of a walk and some stairs to get down to, but it's well worth it as you end up descending into an amazing bay of turquoise water.

Murrays Beach

Murrays Beach

Jervis Bay, JBT 2540, Australia

At the end of the road into the National Park is Murrays Beach, it's usually pretty empty and so beautiful, definitely worth going for a dip.

Booderee National Park

Booderee National Park

Jervis Bay Road, Jervis Bay Territory, ACT 2540, Australia
, (02) 4443 0977

Booderee National Park is full of great walks, most of which lead to the most beautiful and isolated beaches.

Point Perpendicular Lighthouse

Point Perpendicular Lighthouse

LOT 51 Lighthouse Road, Beecroft Peninsula, NSW 2540, Australia

Drive through natural scrub and wild flowers to Point Perpendicular Lighthouse, and the escarpment at Jervis Bay. There is no access to the inside of the lighthouse, but the view from the grounds alone makes this drive worthwhile.

Cape St George Lighthouse

Cape St George Lighthouse

Stony Creek Road, Jervis Bay, NSW 2540, Australia
, (02) 4443 0977

Th ruins of an old historic lighthouse not far from Jervis Bay Village.

Kangaroo Valley

Kangaroo Valley

Kangaroo Valley, NSW 2577, Australia

If you are wanting to explore the south coast a little more, we would recommend driving back through Kangaroo Valley. You can stop in the local town for lunch and even a kayak on the Kangaroo River. There are some great waterfalls to see like Fitzroy Falls and Carrington Falls with natural rock pools such as Blue Pool and Nellies Glen.

Bowral

Bowral

Bowral, NSW 2576, Australia

Another classic old Aussie town to visit en route to or from the wedding. There are lovely cafes and shops and wineries just outside the town. Stop at the Royal Hotel for a great pub lunch.

Mount Ashby Estate

Mount Ashby Estate

128 Nowra Road, Moss Vale, 2577

A lovely winery with an amazing restaurant just outside of Moss Vale and Bowral. We would recommend going for lunch and then driving through Kangaroo Valley on your way down or back from Jervis Bay.

Berry

Berry

Berry, NSW 2535, Australia

Berry is a classic and lovely little Australian town. It has the old pubs, craft and gift shops and famous pastries. It's a great place for a pitstop for lunch on the way down to or back from Jervis Bay. Some of our favourite cafes include The Garden and Milkwood Bakery.
