You can have a blast in our area, visiting museums in DC, exploring Old Town Alexandria, or even going out to the mountains!
For those of you who want to do something local in the suburbs, here are a few nice things in our area. These are close to the wedding venue and close to the suburban hotels.
Occoquan Historic District
Occoquan Historic District, VA
This is a quaint little historic town very close to the wedding venue, in Woodbridge. You can walk around and find restaurants, a beer garden, shops, kayak rentals, and a little park. This is a great place to see some eagles!
Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center

Just a little south of the wedding venue and very close to the hotels is this nice shopping area. It has a movie theater, a grocery store, some nice shops, and restaurants.
Workhouse Arts Center
9518 Workhouse Way, Lorton, VA 22079
This used to be a prison when I was growing up, but its history is deep, running back to Theodore Roosevelt and later central in the suffrage movement. It has been reformed and is now an art center with open galleries, a brewery, and a fascinating museum.
