The first time Scott and I met was in 2011 and we exchanged two words, ‘Hello’ and ‘Goodbye’. Looking back at this we both laugh because of the absurd coincidence or perhaps fate. We bumped into each other due to a mutual friend and to be honest, neither one of us gave the other a second thought. Fast-forward a year or so and there we are chatting online saying, ‘Wait, don’t I know you from somewhere’? Not long after reconnecting we made plans to hang out and I thought it would be a great idea if I had him watch Dr. Who with me since he had claimed he was not up to date on the recent episodes. Turns out I was just forcing him to watch episodes he had already seen. Scott had already seen all of the episodes but did not want to spoil the moment. We kept the Dr. Who train rolling and on our second date, we watched Dr. Who and made fish sticks and custard. If you have watched Dr. Who you will understand, otherwise, your reaction is probably close to how it actually tasted. We had a handful of these moments before it just made sense to make it official on January 16, 2012, and on September 8, 2013, we took it a step further and got engaged. Now, after a million shared moments, we will tie the knot.
