Scott & Brooke met at the Raleigh Fire Station #15 when Brooke was visiting her Uncle Brandon. Brooke had just moved to the Raleigh area from California after graduating from college to start her career with John Deere. Brooke didn't know a lot of people in the area from moving so far from home, so she would have dinner with Uncle Brandon often at the fire station. Scott and Brooke met one night when Scott was floating to station #15. Scott mentioned he was getting two Siberian husky puppies within the next couple of weeks and invited her to come and see them! If anyone knows Wrigley & Diesel they were the cutest puppies!
Brooke's role with John Deere was different than a typical job out of college. She had to move locations every couple of months for her position she was in. So after dating for a few months, Brooke received the news she going to have to relocate to Kansas City the beginning of July. She told Scott and he was understanding and wanted to make the relationship work. Brooke moved to Kansas City and they traveled to so many new places together their first year of dating, trying to see each other as often as they can and make memories! Their first year of dated they traveled to 6 states together! Brooke recieved a new position with John Deere and was able to move back to Raleigh and be close to Scott after a year of long distance!
Scott & Brooke absolutley love to travel and hike as often as they can. But with a fireman's schedule, it can be difficult to plan sometimes. Scott had mentioned they should go up to Asheville for the weekend and go on a hike and explore the city. They both love the outdoors and the moutains so they planned it! Scott booked the cutest Airbnb up in the mountains right outside of downtown Asheville. The view of the mountains was absolutely stunning! Saturday, Scott planned a hike on a near by trail up to Rainbow Falls. Brooke had no idea what he had planned other than a hike! They hiked their way to the top and made it to the waterfall. It was absolutely stunning! Scott wanted to go up a little further above the waterfall to a place called Turtleback Falls. They got to the top and enjoyed the beautiful view and that is when Scott got down on one knee and popped the question!
