Malaga

This is the best airport to fly into, as Nerja is only a 45 minute car journey from the airport. We recommend checking/booking flights from this August 2022 for the best rate. As soon as the flights come out for September 2023, that will be the cheapest price you will lock in the flights. We use easyjet! You can always use websites like Sky Scanner on finding the best flights to suit you, as it will compare all the airlines available.

Taxi's

Taxi's from Malaga Airport to Nerja cost 138 Euros for a return journey back to the airport. Look to book your taxi before your arrival as taxi's outside the airport will charge more. We use a website www.nerjataxis.net You can also look at organising minibuses for larger groups of you, which will bring costs down. Prior to us having the kids, we would get a bus from the airport all the way to Nerja, it would take A LOT LONGER to get there, but would only cost us both 10 Euros. At the airport, you can make an enquiry about getting a bus to Nerja City Centre and they will give you the bus time table, or you can book your transport to Nerja via Malaga transfers ( which are a bus service) and word on the street is, is that they are very reliable

We will be staying in our apartment not far from the Hotel Balcon for our entire stay, however on the wedding night we will be staying here! This is the hotel where we will be hosting our Wedding reception.

This is a serviced hotel, that we have heard people rave about! It is central and about a 10 minute walk from the Balcon.

This is a lovely, clean hotel. Nice and simple and does the job! Also has a great power shower!! This is in the heart of the city centre and a 2 minute walk from the Balcon!

Villas

This is a recommended website for Villas, called Nerja Paradise. We personally haven't used them, but there looks to be some lovely places on here! If you go down this route, I would just make sure you don't pick somewhere in Frigiliana or further a field. You want to be as close to Nerja City Centre as possible, you would be fine with anywhere near to Burianna Beach, albeit you will have yourself a good 20 minute walk back to a Villa most evenings and from the wedding night! However it is nice to walk off all the food and booze!

You can't really go wrong with booking.com can you! There are so many lovely little places to stay in Nerja, you won't even be in your room much, have a browse on here for places to stay also, again anywhere walking distance from the Balcon or Burianna Beach is a good place to stay! Just to let you know now, and hopefully you have made it this far with all this info we have provided you with!! Burianna Beach to the Balcon (which is the centre on Nerja) there is a lovely hill, we like to refer to as CARDIAC HILL, so if you are staying on the Burianna side, please take this into consideration!
