There is no good story without romance!!

We met 3 years ago, Amanda was invited out by her step sister (Jayla) to a local bar with Jayla's group of friends, Amanda didn't really want to go but did and was sitting with a group of girls at the table bored out of her mind. Scott was across the bar noticing how uncomfortable Amanda was and decided to come over and try to make her smile. Amanda initially wanted him to go away, but decided to carry a conversation with him anyway for his efforts. They ended up finding out they knew a lot of the same people and were surprised their paths never crossed. After a night out of drinking and dancing, Scott thought it would be cleaver to get Amanda's number by acting like he was looking for a new hair stylist to cut his hair. He got her number and used it to ask her out on a "fun date" bowling. They became friends but Scott wanted more and did not give up on being persistent, bringing Amanda coffee and lunch to work and leaving roses and a bottle of wine at her front door. Amanda then realized he was wanted more and decided to tell him to "back off". Two weeks pass and Amanda started realizing she pushed away a great guy and decided to reconnect on New Years Eve. From there the relationship began to grow and went threw its obstacles, Amanda was also introduced to Clark ( Scott's Son) and automatically had a great connection with his son and naturally took the role of his Step-Mother. Needless to say Scott never got his haircut but did get a partner for life.

Scott and Amanda went the Aspen, Co for a trip, he then thought it would be a good opportunity to propose. They spent a week in Colorado hiking, bar hopping and skiing. Amanda being the person she is and a very hard person to keep secrets and surprises from was making comments to Scott about "great ways to propose to someone if someone were to propose". This initially made Scott mad and thinking he was not going to propose anymore. Then he came up with the idea with some help from Amanda's mother and sister to take her to a breath taking view were there would be great food and a horse sleigh ride to the restaurant. The idea sounds romantic and fun but did not factor in the weather being so stubborn and cold. They were freezing their butts off on their way to the magically view of a restaurant. Scott still at this point did not propose, after their lunch date they got back in the car and started to head back. Scott decided to pull over on the road to "Act" like he wanted to take a picture forcing Amanda out of the car in snowing freezing weather. She quickly took the picture and turned around to head back to the car as Scott reached out and grabbed her arm. He was down on one knee asking the famous line " Will you marry me?" Of course she said yes after being caught off guard and saying :" Are you shitting me?" Her famous last words, and the rest is history.
