Question

Where is Camp Bauer?

Answer

Camp Bauer is a park-like setting on Green Diamond property nestled in the redwoods just above the Korbel mill and along the north fork of the Mad River. This is important information as there is no address! Head east on Blue Lake Blvd then keep right where it turns into Maple Creek Rd. You’ll pass the mill and then go over the bridge. Just over the bridge you’ll see the sign for Camp Bauer on your left, turn in there. Or type Camp Bauer into Google Maps and it’ll get ya there.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Outdoor casual cocktail attire; Camp Bauer is a large park nestled in the redwoods along a fork of the Mad River so stilettos might not be a good idea unless you’re a pro (unlike Ali who will be wearing flip flops for as long as she can make it before they come off). There is a softball field, volleyball court and horse shoe pit so feel free to bring a change of clothes if you’d like!

Question

Are the kiddos allowed?

Answer

YES!!!!! Bring all the kids!!! We’re extra excited to be able to offer such a fun space and we want everyone to enjoy as much as possible! If you see kids on the way, pick em up and bring them too! Please know there is a creek on the property which may have some water flowing still. We won’t be providing floaties and ideally won’t have to perform CPR either so please keep an eye on the little ones! Blue Lake doesn’t offer much in the way of childcare so please plan accordingly prior to the wedding.

Question

What type of food will be served?

Answer

We are hosting a BBQ buffet with the protein options being tri-tip & chicken. We will have a vegetarian option available as well, and several BBQ sides!

Question

What about my dog?

Answer

Unfortunately, dogs are no longer allowed at the Casino Hotel so please plan accordingly for your 4-legged pals! Camp Bauer does not allow dogs either.

Question

What’s up with the booze?

Answer

We are providing champagne, a lovely rose from southern Oregon, Sticky Fingers IPA from Redwood Curtain, and of course Coors & Claws to represent the groom & bride. We will also have juice, soda, NA beers, seltzer waters and ice water.

Question

Parking/Transportation?

Answer

There is plenty of space to park at the venue and it’s just up the road from Blue Lake. Please drink responsibly- Uber/Lyft aren’t available and if you plan to take a cab to/from the venue, it would be best to organize that in advance!

For all the days along the way
