We met like most people do these days, on a dating App. After weeks of chatting Adam decided to give his phone number to Scott and delete the App. Several weeks passed and Adam felt like he was ghosted so he looked Scott up on another App. In the meantime, Scott was contemplating calling Adam but then got Covid right around Thanksgiving. After finally texting Adam back we met at Jolly Pumpkin in Grand Rapids. We had dinner on a night that Adam had a volleyball game at the nearby YMCA. We had such a good time talking that he was very late to the volleyball game. We went on several dates soon after. Adam made use of Scott’s “clock” in his kitchen to make countless amazing meals, including his infamous stuffed French toast. Adam met Mark and Sarah about a month after dating, mostly because we needed his truck to move a couch. Adam attended a birthday dinner in late January and met many of Scott’s close friends. Scott went to his first sporting event on Valentine’s Day watching Adam play volleyball at the Y. Our first dance was at a Glitter and Gold party at the Stema’s house in late February. Scott met Adam’s volleyball friends for brunch in early March. On March 25 Scott met Addy, Owen and Evan at the Buffalo Wild Wings during March Madness in Grandville. The very next day we competed in a cornhole tournament at their school. Scott quickly started a list of movies and shows that Adam needed to watch such as Stranger Things, Breaking Bad and Schitt’s Creek. We had our first sunset together along Lake Michigan in May after hanging out in Holland with Eric and Mark.
