When I heard Devin's voice on the plane's PA system start with "This is your captain speaking..." We had explored a number of new places together and each trip he planned for us was unique and unforgettable, as I knew this one would be. All I could think was that I wanted him to be my captain for the rest of my life. Shortly after we arrived in Sitka, Alaska, but my feet never touched the ground. I claim it was because I was on cloud nine from being in love, he insists it was because the landing was THAT good.

I've learned that the best way to really get to know someone is by taking a trip with them. I fell in love with her on our first trip; a weekend getaway to one of my favorite places - coincidentally the very place we chose for our wedding venue! I quickly learned that Jessica is just as adventurous as I am. She's the type of person who will board a plane at the last minute to an unknown destination and is willing to try almost anything. I'm looking forward to spending the rest of my life keeping up with her! Looking back on that weekend I never wanted it to end.
