We met one fateful evening at our local winebar, Bergamot Alley, and pushed together by friends (Cathleen, Gianna & Gabe, Kevin & Sarah) members of the community, and kismet too! Both were surprised by each other and the mutual friends, variety of passions, shared creative and science backgrounds, and our deep appreciation for the community and the roots we put down in the Sonoma County… how have we not met before?? Scott asked Tanya if he could walk her to her car and she agreed… they began walking through Healdsburg in the wee small hours holding hands through the misty quiet streets… An hour later, Scott asked where the car was and she replied with a twinkle in her eye had parked next to Bergamot Alley… that sneaky lady! Their second date was Isle of View Festival (and wedding) where they danced until the sun came up among the redwood forest and under the stars. There Scott played a specially requested “My little Buttercup” trombone solo in a tree… just one of the many thoughtful, hilarious, and heartfelt gifts he continued to provide Tanya throughout their time together. Together they are never far from laughter and adventures together, enjoying their close knit community of artists and wine growers, encouraging each other in new business ventures, gathering around live music, creating dance moves, wearing flamboyant vintage costumes, and growing flowers and huge squash in their vegetable garden. Tanya and Scott have traveled all over together on scooter, vintage red car, airplane, snorkel, roller skates, or “silly-walk” to Cuba, Colorado, all over California, Mendocino, Las Vegas, Yosemite, road tripped from the Midwest and Southwest, but their favorite mode of transportation is their vintage French TANDEM bicycle around Sonoma County. They both love each other's family which is an amazing bonus… especially as they’d like to begin their own family!
