Traveling to Mackinac
For those traveling by car, you will arrive at Mackinaw City. Upon arrival, you can park your car and take Shepler's Ferry Line to Mackinac Island. Info on parking can be found at the entrance booth of the dock where you unload luggage. Please use online Promo Code "wedding24" to purchase your ferry tickets.
For those traveling by plane, you can fly into Detroit which will require you to rent a car to Mackinaw City. Another option is to fly directly into Pellston, MI (PLN) airport then a 20 minute shuttle to the ferry. There are no commercial flights directly to the island, however they do offer private/charter flights to Mackinac Island.
Once you arrive on the island, the dock porters will take your luggage to your lodging destination.
Things to note for all travelers:
Mackinaw City is not Mackinac Island.
We recommend you car pool if you can.
There are no cars on the island - just bikes and horses!
If you can, BYOB "bring your own bike".
