We first met back in 2020 through a mutual friend. We had hung out a few times and eventually lost contact after Audrey moved back down south after living in Ogden for a few months. Cut to two years later and Audrey was living in Midvale looking for someone to help build her guinea pig cage. She remembered Scott and how he knew his way around a set of tools since he was always helping out with projects in the old Ogden apartment. Well, what are the odds that the night she downloaded the dating app Bumble, Scott would be one of the first profiles to pop up. Instantly recognizing him (and desperately needing help with her guinea pig cage) she swiped right- and it was a match! Conversation began immediately as they discussed the logistics of the guinea pig cage. Scott still lived over an hour away in North Ogden, so the chances of receiving his help felt slim. To Audrey's surprise he actually agreed to help! That very night he drove over an hour to her house and got to work building. In that moment Audrey knew what a selfless and sweet man he was because who in their right might would drive over an hour to help a girl you barely know build a custom cage for rodents? After this chance encounter Scott would take that hour long drive every single weekend to come spend every second possible with Audrey. This went on for the next 8 months before they decided to move in together into a tiny apartment in the heart of Ogden. After a year living in what was essentially a shoe box they knew how deeply they loved each other and how amazing life had become since their chance dating app encounter back in 2021. Luckily now they live in a beautiful home out in Plain City with plans to move even further out into the middle of nowhere. September 8th, 2024 became the day Audrey said "Yes!" to forever with Scotty (aka the happiest day of her life). We can't wait for the next chapter in our relationship & look forward to celebrating with our friends and family on the day of our wedding 09/15/2025!
