Want to Rent a Kilt? Follow These Steps:

We’ve made it easy for you to rent a kilt for the wedding! Here's everything you need to know: Kilt Package: macgregorandmacduff.co.uk/collections/kilt-hire/products/mm24-pcv001-hire (You do not need to reserve online; you will do it over Zoom during your consultation) Group Booking Name (You Must Use This Reference): Hunter Gray What's Included? You’ll be able to rent a full “kit,” which includes everything from the bowtie down to the shoes! The cost is approximately $130 - $160 (depending on your accessory choices) to rent the full kilt kit. How to Rent a Kilt: Email: Send an email to info@macgregorandmacduff.co.uk and let them know you're part of the Hunter Gray group booking. Virtual Fitting: The team will set up a Zoom call to: Measure you virtually. Help you select your kilt color and pattern. Provide you with all the details and a link to complete payment. Pick Up Your Kilt: You’ll collect your kilt kit box from their Edinburgh location (details below). Return Your Kilt: Drop the box off at the same location once the event is over. Pick-Up/Drop-Off Location: MacGregor and MacDuff, Unit 13, Flex Space Edinburgh, 2 Harvest Road, Newbridge, Edinburgh, EH28 8AN Pick-Up/Drop-Off Dates: Pick-Up Available: Wednesday 7/16/25 after 2pm - Friday 7/18/25 Must Be Returned By: Wednesday 7/23/25  Traveling or Time Constraints? If you’re flying in and won’t have time to pick up your kilt, let Hunter know at 781-999-5132. Arrangements can be made for someone to pick up or drop off multiple kits on your behalf. When and where is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding celebration will take place over three days at Achnagairn Castle, near Inverness. Friday 18th July - Welcome Dinner Saturday 19th July - Wedding Day Sunday 20th - Scottish Country Dancing Evening (Ceilidh) Monday 21st - Checkout. Event timings can be found on the "Schedule" page.

How do I reserve my room for the weekend and what are the costs?

Answer

In February, Heather will reach out with payment details and additional information. Each room is unique, and we will ensure all guests are comfortably accommodated. Please note, while we will do our best to match rooms appropriately, room assignments will be based on availability, not specific requests. The prices listed below are for the full 3-night stay per room (not per person). If you’re sharing a room, the cost can be split between guests. £450.00 - £540.00 $566.11 to $679.33 (estimated exchange rate)* We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

All events throughout the weekend will take place at Achnagairn Castle, and all guests will be accommodated on the Estate. Once you RSVP, we will confirm your room and provide additional details.

What is the dress code?

Welcome Dinner: Casual – wear what makes you comfortable! Charlotte will be in a summer dress, and Hunter in a button-up shirt. Wedding: Black Tie or Evening Kilt attire. We're excited to see everyone dressed up! Ceilidh Night: Anything goes for dancing! Charlotte will wear a dress with comfy shoes, and Hunter will be in Tartan Trews (Tartan Pants!).

All events throughout the weekend will take place at Achnagairn Castle, with many elements being both indoor and outdoor. If the weather is nice, we’ll also host the Welcome Dinner and Cocktail Hour outside!

Scottish weather can be quite unpredictable, so we recommend checking the forecast before you pack to be prepared for all weather!

While we love your little ones, our wedding is not appropriate for small children. We appreciate your understanding!

Where can I book hair and makeup near Achnagairn Castle?

Answer

There are hair and makeup options available in Inverness, just a 30-minute drive from Achnagairn Castle. We recommend doing some research and booking in advance, as local stylists can get busy during the summer wedding season.

We’ll be providing breakfast each morning, along with dinner on Friday and Saturday, and snacks on Sunday evening. If you need additional meals or snacks, the nearby village or Inverness offers a variety of restaurants, cafés, and stores to explore.
