Schyler and Anna met in the spring of 2010 in Newburyport, MA. Anna was a senior at Pentucket High School, and Schyler was in his sophomore year at Triton High School. Anna was hired for a part time job at Edible Arrangements in Newburyport by Schyler's mom, Hope, who was the manager. One February day while Anna was working her shift after school, a handsome, long-haired hockey player guy walks in the front door looking for his mom. She was super confused at first and then realized this was Hope's son she had been saying Anna "had to" meet. The two both vividly remember the moment they first saw each other. Anna and Schyler were close friends over the first year they knew each other, and (finally) began dating a year later in May 2011.
It was Christmas Eve 2018, and Schyler made plans for us to spend the night in Boston to see the city lit up, as he knows how thoroughly obsessed I am with the holiday. We checked into the Liberty Hotel, our favorite spot to stay, and went over to Bricco in the North End for dinner - one of our favorite spots . After dinner, we walked over to Faneuil Hall to see the Christmas Tree lit up. It was 8 o'clock on the dot, and as we walked over to the tree, we noticed it wasn't on. We were both super confused to see it off for some reason when suddenly the most beautiful version of Hallelujah started to play. The tree began to light up, and I started to cry because it was so pretty (and I really love Christmas a LOT). I turned to my right and Schyler was smiling. He started saying a bunch of really sweet things about wanting to spend forever with me, have babies, etc. I honestly don't remember the rest, but I know he got down on one knee and I said "yes" over and over and over again. It was so perfect.
