Matron of Honor
Tami and I started our friendship over 13 years ago, during our rebellious high school days sneaking onto the elementary school. We spent countless nights over at Colby's parent's house hanging out in the hot tub and hanging out with the Orion crew at Sidetracked. Tami has been there for me all these years and it's been an honor to watch her build a beautiful life with her husband and baby. I'm so grateful to have her by my side as Colby and I start this new chapter.
Bridesmaid
Nicki came into my life 3 years ago when she stole one of Colby's high school best friend's heart. In the years since she's been a constant source of support, comfort, laughter, and overall true friend. We've enjoyed traveling with her and Jeremy down to Florida and the lake house and can't wait for them to welcome their bundle of joy (very shortly after the wedding) or before...😄 I couldn't be more excited to see what the future holds for us and the memories we will make together.
Bridesmaid
Spenser and I started our friendship a little over a year ago (thanks Shane) and she's a friend who I feel like I've known my whole life. Our shared love for reading, being active, Mexican food, and having meaningful conversations is something we bond over. Beyond our fun times, she has become a true friend and someone I can confide in. In a world where adult friendships can be hard to come by, Spenser has welcomed me with open arms. We're so happy to have her a part of our special day!
Bridesmaid
Stephanie is my soon to be sister-in-law and someone I enjoy sharing a bottle of wine (or two) with. In the last 10 years, we’ve had lots of fun times together, but what I enjoy the most is escaping life and taking girls trips down to the lake house to make fun memories and recharge for a few days. I truly cherish our quality time together and can’t wait to have her by my side through more laughter, adventures, and life’s moments.
Bridesmaid
Samantha is Colby’s sister who I’ve known for quite some time now, and she has always been a part of my life in one way or another. From our fun-filled days playing sand volleyball to the weekends spent at the dirt track races and dancing on the bar at GB's, we’ve shared so many memories together. I’m so excited for the future and the chance to create new memories together as a family.
Best Man
Nick is my big brother who has always been there for me. We spent countless nights at various race tracks helping our dad with his car, and eventually driving cars of our own. When I flipped my first 4-cylinder, he jumped off the trailer so fast that he sliced his hand open and had to see the paramedics with me! We love to compete with one another, but I know he will always have my back.
Groomsman
Shane and I have been friends since grade school without skipping a beat. Our friendship started out with trading Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon cards, but evolved into us hanging out all the time. We've had awesome adventures kayaking, white water rafting, rock climbing and more. I always look forward to our time together because we can make the most mundane experience exciting.
Groomsman
Going to Orion, everyone "knows" everyone, but I didn't really meet Feryl until high school. We started hanging out through mutual friends and quickly realized we shared a lot of interests. We spent a lot time playing board games (axis & allies for the nerds out there) and eating Pizza Hut thanks to his employee discount. I convinced him to join me at Iowa State and we had a blast delivering Insomnia Cookies till 3am.
Groomsman
Jeremey has been a great friend for the past 14+ years. He hosted the best sleepovers, when we were kids, and continued that tradition with amazing parties as we got older. We always manage to have a good time together whether its skiing in Colorado, playing soccer at home, or travelling to the beach.
Groomsman
I think Keagan is the first baby I can remember holding as a child, so I can honestly say we've been friends his whole life. He is my closest cousin and that's probably because we are so similar in a lot of ways. It has been fun to watch him grow up to become a respectable and hard working young man.
Usher
Jerry became my brother-in-law many years ago when he married my sister Sam. Like some of her previous boyfriends, I was unsure of him at first. But after I stood my ground, we got to know each other and became friends. Now I look up to him as a great dad to my nieces and I couldn't imagine our family without him.
Officiant
Kyle and I became close friends as bench buddies during our high school soccer games (we weren't bad, our team was just really good lol). I think Kyle's dry sense of humor compliments my dark sense of humor a lot of the time. I'm eternally grateful for him inviting me out to Colorado for my first ski trip. We've had a lot of great trips since then, and I hope to have many more.
