Black Tie Optional. Tuxedos and long gowns are encouraged, while dark suits and formal midi or cocktail dresses are perfect.
In honor of Santa’s busiest season, we’re giving parents the night off to relax and enjoy a glass of eggnog… or two. While this will be an adults-only celebration, a few special elves with very important jobs will be in attendance.
Please note there will be a break between our afternoon Catholic ceremony and evening reception. We encourage guests to use this time to relax, explore the area, or hang out at the The Lounge at 1931 (the hotel's iconic on-site bar) before joining us for the cocktail hour at 4:30.
If you're confused about whether to call the bride "Kate", "Kath", or "Katherine" — don't worry, she probably is too. You can try out Mrs. Tatich for the night OR whichever way you were introduced. It's a fun way to know how she knows you. PS, Kyle calls her Kate. (Schwieterman = Sweeterman; Tatich = Tat-ish)
We have a shuttle to transport guests to and from The Hilton to St.Xavier. Timing TBD. For those with cars, the Hilton offers valet parking ($49 per day) and self-parking ($35 per day) on site. Alternatively, there's multiple garages nearby or try SpotHero. Cincinnati is a very Uber friendly city as well.
Kate: Obviously Cincinnati. We're the Queen City of the West, immortalized by Longfellow's poem, with hills, history, and zero actual monarchy required. We've been rocking the title since the 1800s—sorry, but naming your town after a queen doesn't automatically win the crown. (Porkopolis was just a phase, okay?) Kyle: Please. Charlotte's been the Queen City since 1768, literally named after Queen Charlotte herself (wife of King George III). That's not a nickname; that's heritage. Cincinnati just borrowed it later and added "of the West" like a consolation prize. Real queens don't need poems—we have the original royal seal. Crown stays in the QC (the original one). We're calling it a tie... maybe our guests can help decide.
