Grab a Coffee and a Cannoli on The Hill
Wander through St. Louis’s Little Italy — full of old-school delis, bakeries, and family restaurants that have been here for generations. ☕ Start with an Americano at Shaw’s Coffee, 5147 Shaw Ave #3039, St. Louis, MO 63110, and then grab a cannoli from one of our favorite neighborhood spots: Missouri Baking Company — a Hill institution famous for its classic Italian pastries, open Saturdays from 8 AM – 4 PM. Vitale’s Bakery — another longtime favorite, known for their ricotta-filled cannoli and friendly counter service, also open Saturdays from 8 AM – 4 PM. It’s one of the coziest neighborhoods in the city and just a short walk from the Bocce Club — perfect for a slow morning before the festivities.
Hang Out in Forest Park
One of the best city parks in the country — bigger than Central Park and filled with lakes, trails, and free museums. 🎈 Matt will even lend you a kite if you ask nicely.
Walk the Arch Grounds
It’s touristy, but it’s ours. The Arch and its grounds are beautiful, especially near sunset. You can take the tram to the top or just enjoy the view from the riverfront.
Broadway Oyster Bar — Good Music, Good Food
Lively, funky, and full of New Orleans energy. There’s live music almost every night, the patio glows with string lights, and the jambalaya is great!
Live Blues & Local Flavor at Hammerstone’s
A true Soulard classic — live blues, hearty food, and a crowd that feels like it’s been gathering here for generations. Great for lunch, dinner, or late-night music with a beer in hand.
Go to Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis
Even if you’ve seen cathedrals before, this one will leave you speechless. The mosaics inside are among the largest collections in the world, and the space itself is stunning.
