Kaitlyn and Brett’s love story starts back in the summer of 2020. Kaitlyn was having a bonfire with some friends and thanks to some of Brett‘s friends he was lucky enough to get invited. This would be the first time the two of them met and it would spark the beginning of something beautiful. After that night they would begin to spend time together for the rest of the summer until Brett would leave for college. 3 months later Brett would return for winter break and that is when their relationship really began to blossom. They would begin to spend more and more time together, celebrate each other birthdays together and much more. Brett would then leave for school again but Kaitlyn would come to visit Brett at school every two weeks. Their bond began to get stronger and stronger even though it wasn’t until May of 2021 when Brett would officially ask Kaitlyn to be his girlfriend. The following school year Brett would come home whenever possible in the fall so they could spend time together and come the following spring Kaitlyn would be in Edwardsville almost every weekend. Fast forward another year and Kaitlyn was coming to visit Brett on his baseball journey and they were able to see many different places together including Arizona, California, Oregon and Nevada. When Brett’s baseball career came to an end, they would endure a 30 hour car drive home from Portland in the middle of a heat wave with no A/C in the car. When they finally returned home they would adopt their first child together, who some might know as Kash the Crackhead. A little over a year later is when Brett would finally ask the big question and ask Kaitlyn to marry him.
