An essential stop for beer lovers.
For all you wine drinkers, Ithaca is the perfect home base for exploring the wineries of Cayuga Lake! There as so many fabulous ones but some of our favorites include: Sheldrake Point Winery (west side of lake) Americana Winery (west side of lake) Long Point Winery (east side of lake) Treleaven Wines (east side of lake) Six Mile Creak Vineyard and Distillery (only 5 minutes from downtown Ithaca!)
A few delicious cideries on the west side of the lake: Bellweather Hard Cider and Wine Cellars Finger Lakes Cider House
The best farmer's market in the world, if we do say so ourselves! They are open Saturdays from 9 AM to 3 PM and Sunday from 10 AM to 3 PM. There is a always wide variety of hot food options, as well as wine and cider tastings, donuts, fresh produce and flowers, and other goods! Our first stop every time we visit is to Solaz to get breakfast burritos. The market is also located right on the water for a very picturesque experience.
Beautiful park, easy, flat hike, and the tallest waterfall in NY state! See for yourself where we got engaged :)
Another great hiking spot with waterfalls! This one is more hilly than Taughannock.
An Ithaca classic! The best sandwiches and bagels you'll find anywhere in Ithaca. Lots of vegetarian options too! There are several CTB locations around Ithaca. You can also check out their sister shop, Ithaca Bakery!
All the waffles your heart could ever dream of.
