There is an airshow tomorrow in Portsmouth, the base is located before the church. PLEASE leave 45 minutes to an hour prior to the ceremony to ensure that everyone has arrived and is ready for the ceremony to begin right at 1 pm.
We request that guests come in “garden party formal” attire to both the ceremony and the reception. Garden party formal means; while maintaining a look of elegance and sophistication, wear fun colors, patterns and textures! We can’t wait to see how great you all look! Bridesmaids are wearing a moss, olive green color in a satin fabric. If this is your color preference, please wear a brighter shade such as a sage green!
Due to the intimacy of our venue, we can only accommodate guests that are formally addressed on your invitation. If you have received a plus one, it will be written on your invitation. Thank you for your understanding and respecting our wishes!
With the exception of our immediate family, we have decided to have an adult only wedding. We would love for you to enjoy your evening and treat this as a date night! Thank you for understanding!
Our venue is a nut-free facility! We have several guests with peanut allergies so please refrain from bringing anything with you. We will have plenty of hand-crafted food for our guests! If you have an additional allergy, please make note of it on your RSVP and it will be passed along to our chef!
There is limited parking at the church where our ceremony is held. Please ensure that you leave your hotel with plenty of time to find parking. There is a small lot in the back of the church, street parking and public lots throughout downtown Portsmouth. At our reception venue, there is a parking lot that you are welcome to use. However, we have arranged for transportation to and from Holiday Inn Express in Durham. We recommend using this service to ensure you enjoy your night in the safest way possible!
Transportation will be provided to cocktail hour at The Thompson Inn & Cyderhouse and will run throughout the evening. First Shuttle leaves The Holiday Inn at 4:15pm! It runs every 15 minutes.
