We’re so excited to celebrate with you!

Our story begins over 12 years ago, on a December night, at a rival highschool football game in California. We were set up on a blind date by Austin’s friend, Cole who thought we’d be a good match… guess he was right :) We hit it off instantly, and spent the whole time laughing with one another. Shortly after, we began dating and knew that we had something beyond special. Who knew that we’d meet the ‘one’ at a football game. From that day on, we’ve been inseparable. From experiencing the fun of college together at High Point University, studying abroad in Florence Italy, landing dream careers at Amgen, living it up in Santa Monica & Austin, TX - we’ve had and continue to make the most out of every moment together. Simply put, we’re highschool sweethearts and best friends that grew up together and also happen to be #SCHULTZMATES.

After a decade long of dating, a surprise engagement seemed impossible… but not for the mastermind, Austin. With the help of many family and friends, Austin was able to pull off one of the most beautiful, surprise engagements in Malibu, California. On August 9th, 2021 - Madison was told she was going to a cocktail party at the Sunset Restaurant in Malibu. We had planned to drive with Mom Helene and Greg after work, but Austin got ‘caught up’ in meetings and said he’d just meet us at the restaurant. Knowing his busy schedule, Madison shrugged it off and drove down with the two. Everything seemed normal, until we pulled towards the restaurant, and Mom pulled out her phone to start recording. Madison looked out the window in disbelief to see Austin standing on the beach next to a big flower arch. Madison couldn’t get out of the car quicker to see Austin, who causally said “You ready for dinner?” Safe to say, she was speechless. The two walked on the sand towards the arch, while their best friend Cole played “Baby I Love Your Way’ on his guitar. Austin gave his speech and dropped to one knee, asking the big question with the most beautiful ring… and of course, Madison said YES. We could hear people cheering, who turned out to be many of our loved ones a part of their special day! We were greeted with so much love from our family and friends, and spent the rest of the night celebrating at the Sunset Resturant. The perfect proposal from the most perfect man.
