Question

Attire

Answer

Think cocktail or semi-formal — dressy and celebratory. Dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or elevated separates are great options, and suits or dress pants with a button-down (tie optional) work perfectly. Black tie or formal attire is absolutely welcome if you’d like to dress up more, but not required. We kindly ask guests to skip jeans and business-casual looks. When in doubt, lean slightly dressier and you’ll be right on track. April in Charleston is typically beautiful, with warm days in the 70s, cooler evenings in the 50s, and plenty of sunshine. Since the ceremony will be outdoors, we recommend bringing a light layer for the evening breeze.

Question

Plus Ones

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family. While we’d love to extend the invite to everyone’s plus-one, we’ve thoughtfully crafted our guest list to include significant others and spouses. If your invitation was addressed to you and a guest, they’re absolutely welcome — otherwise, we kindly ask that you come solo and enjoy the night with us!

Question

Children

Answer

Children of any age are more than welcome to join us for both the ceremony and reception. We just ask that you please keep a close eye on them and step away if they become restless so everyone can fully enjoy the celebration. We will provide a kid-friendly meal (something like chicken nuggets, mac n' cheese, and juice!) - If your child has additional need beyond this, please plan to bring whatever else they may need when you arrive.

Question

Parking

Answer

Parking is fully provided by Magnolia Plantation, a short walk away from the ceremony & reception location. Accommodations can be made for anyone who needs assistance getting to and from the parking area. Please just let us know!

Question

Hotels

Answer

We have multiple options for hotels near the venue, please see the Hotels page for detailed booking information.

Question

Staying the weekend

Answer

We’re planning to keep the celebration going beyond Thursday night! We’ll be staying in Charleston through mid-day Sunday and would love for anyone who’s interested to extend their stay and join us. We’re tentatively planning a late brunch on Friday morning, plus some fun activities like a ghost tour and beach time on Saturday. If you’d like to join in, please let us know during the RSVP process so we can plan accordingly and get an accurate headcount. Please note that guests will be responsible for the cost of any activities, but we’ll do our best to include plenty of budget-friendly options so everyone can participate.
