We went on our very first date to Settle Down Tavern, shared their ghost pepper fries, cheese curds, Philly cheese steak, and some fun mixed drinks. Kyle picked Melissa up in his old silver and black mustang. We sat in the very first booth, sharing stories, laughter and smiles all night long.
On Saturday early in the morning, Madison has a huge farmers market. Where you can explore the local bakery's, grab fresh produce, and picked up the most gorgeous flowers you have ever seen! Make sure to bring cash.
The Memorial Union is one of our favorite places to sit outside in the summer, listening to live music, playing card games with friends, drinking a nice cold one, and eating some delicious food. If you are coming in early or staying later for the wedding weekend, we highly recommend checking out their website to see who is playing and what fun activities they might have in store.
The Olbrich Botanical Gardens is our favorite stop to take in the beautiful Wisconsin Summer weather. The outdoor portion is free to the public but the indoor garden is truly where the magic happens.
The Henry Villa Zoo is a fun and inexpensive place to take the kids. It is free to the public and they might have new exhibits to explore.
If you are craving a burger like Kyle or a salmon sandwich like Melissa, then check out Dotty Dumpling's Dowry. The name is very deceiving because they do not serve dumplings but definitely one of our favorites.
The Great Dane Pub & Brewing is one of the place we always bring family. We enjoy their cheese curds and after we all eat, then it's time to play some pool/darts.
This is probably hands down the most fun spot for kids in Madison. Where they can explore and let out all their good energy. Oh to be a kid again!
The I/O Arcade Bar is a blast from the past with old school pinball machines, skee-ball, and board games. Make sure you bring cash or quarters.

When we are feeling like having a group outing with our friends, Vitense Golfland is the place we like to go. They have outdoor and indoor mini golf, ice cream, bar/restaurant, batting cages, driving range and a 9 hole pare 3 golf course. A great place for adults and kids to have their fun.
We love North and South Seafood & Smokehouse so much we decided to cater them for our rehearsal dinner. So go and try out Melissa's favorite pulled pork and Kyle's favorite burnt ends, let us know what you think.
Our favorite breakfast spot in Madison is Monty's Blue Plate Diner. It's old style diner vibes and great food keeps us coming back for more. They have amazing lunch options, milkshakes, and fish fry Friday.
Our all time favorite ice cream place in Madison is called the Ice Cream Social. Where they have unique styles of homemade ice cream and waffle cones. The ice cream range from the classics to flavors you would never think of creating.

The Old Fashioned is s Madison staple, where all the food are classic Wisconsin dishes. It is a beautiful place to visit at night to get a perfect view of the capital.
