Maid of Honor
Sonz and Dana have been friends since they met at the Alpha Phi house at Santa Clara University in 2010. They lived together Dana's sophmore year and ever since they have been partners in adventure - REI trips, hot air ballooning, hiking, endless foodie experiences, New York visits. Sonia has been an incredible friend to Dana over the years -- in good moments and horrible ones -- Sonia is always there to celebrate or support. She is also, without question, the most responsible friend Dana has and always has been. Dana looks up to Sonia in so many ways.
Maid of Honor
Courtney and Dana have been best friends since they met in high school at the age of 15. Both of them studied abroad in Spain, went to college in Northern California, and joined wine clubs together. The two have been known to get into their fair share of shenanigans -- getting lost on the local bus system, going to Duke's in Healdsburg, clubs in Barcelona and Madrid, push up contests in Hermosa, DJing a hoedown at a senior center. Dana was also Courtney's maid of honor at her wedding and is an (un)official auntie to their daughter Zoey.
Bridesmaid
Dana and Ann met while working at Collective Health and the rest is history. They became fast friends over chips and guac at Tacolicious. Ann is one of those friends that you always want to share your good news with as she's one of the sunniest, smiliest people you'll ever meet. Dana and Ann make a great pair as they're both always "up for anything" - impromptu convertible rentals, various arts and crafts classes, museum exhibits, or trips. Eventually Dana and Ann both ended up living on Green street where they have dubbed themselves "neighborhood watch" as they can often be found walking the Cow Hollow, Marina, and Polk Gulch neighborhoods with Gus Peterman (Dana's dog).
Bridesmaid
Dana and Itzia also met at Collective Health. Dana showed up on her second day of work with a sheet of focaccia bread and a full cheese & charcuterie spread for the Marketing team and Itzia thought Dana was a kiss ass that she didn't want to be friends with but... then she tasted the focaccia and decided she was someone worth knowing. Since then Dana and Itzia have spent so much time in Mexico together that the Mexican immigration authorities have repeatedly asked Dana if she knows that she has to leave the country at some point. Whether it's the bay area, LA, or Mexico City, they can often be found drinking mezcal together and laughing hysterically.
Bridesmaid
Megan and Dana met at Santa Clara University on Dana's first night as an Alpha Phi. Megan quickly wanted to make sure that Dana was part of her "A-phi family." Dana and Megan have spent a ton of time in the kitchen together, out on the town, doing fun things with her two boys, traipsing about Mexico, you name it. Although Megan is older than Dana, she is almost always the one to ensure she stays out past her geriatric bedtime.
Bridesmaid
Alyssa and Dana met at the age of six at Torrance Girls Softball League. The two played softball together for the next 14+ years - travelball, high school, and slow pitch softball. But the two of them got into more shenanigans off the field than on. To name a few: Softball sleepovers, Dana's first few bar experiences (Hermosa & Pitcher House may have been a couple), fully benefiting from Dana's temporary handicap placard, and Dana teaching Alyssa about good wine and the curative properties of a well-made dirty martini. Alyssa's two daughters, Avery and Emma, are also flower girls at the wedding.
Groomsman
Horton and Kyle met during the police academy. Horton who was commuting into San Francisco from the Sacramento area for the academy every day quickly realized he needed to find a closer place to stay. Kyle of course offered to have Horton sleep on the couch of his studio apartment. As Kyle is known to do, he immediately became good friends with Horton, his wife Alejandra and their kids.
Best Man
Kyle's cousin Stevie has been a built-in best friend since day one. The two grew up on the same street in Garden Grove and spent almost every day together including playing sports and video games. They have cataloged quite the laundry list of antics together much to the stress and anxiety of their parents. Although, Kyle is a Giants fan, Stevie remains compassionate and understanding toward his cousin despite his refusal to acknowledge the superior baseball team, the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Best Man
Cash is Kyle's former roommate and current partner at SFPD. As Kyle often says, "he may be an idiot, but he's my idiot." Despite living together and working together, they have never grown tired of one another. Cash, a long-time city resident, showed Kyle all the finer (and rougher around the edges) dining establishments across the Mission. Cash is an excellent uncle to their dog Gus and the two can often be found at bars throughout the Marina and Cow Hollow.
Groomsman
Twin and Kyle have been friends for more than a decade. They keep in touch by playing their nightly video games. Twin has always been a loyal, reliable friend for Kyle. For better or worse the two also love to go to Vegas together. The two may or may not enjoy eating an ungodly amount of in-n-out together... sometimes even more than once in a day.
Groomsman
Jake and Kyle met when they were in college. Jake is actually the reason Kyle ended up getting into shooting a compound bow. The two bought a groupon back in 2015 and took a lesson. Jake is also Kyle's go-to drinking buddy whenever he is back in SoCal.
Groomsman
Davis and Kyle have known each other since Kyle was born in 1992. The two enjoy watching Chargers football games, shooting their compound bows at total archery challenges, and celebrating at Sierra Nevada's annual Oktoberfest.
Officiant
Dana was the first of Sonia's friends to meet Justin when they started dating. Since then, Dana was their favorite third wheel for many a fine dining experience. Once Kyle entered the picture, they all started spending a lot of time together -- golfing, their monthly surprise dinners, wine country adventures (and mishaps) and weekend getaways. The four of them are perpetually on the hunt for the best smash burger and soft serve ice cream. Not originally a man of the cloth, Justin got ordained just to officiate the wedding of "Day & Sippy" as he affectionately calls them.
