What’s love without a little chase? Nikolai and I first met at a restaurant social event through our mutual long time friend, Caleb. From there, began multiple DMs and finding any reason to see each other. We would talk for hours on the phone or I would attempt to cook a meal and bring it to him at his airport job. Nikolai would even visit me at my gas station job, just to put a smile on my face. No one could tell us otherwise that it wasn’t true love, but in our true stubborn fashion we dragged it out before saying it to one another. When that time finally came, of course Nikolai caved in first LOL. From there our relationship and love grew to levels neither of us thought we wanted at that point in life, but we both were too afraid of losing each other that we didn’t let go. That ultimately led us to becoming parents to our son Nikolai Jr., at that moment our whole lives changed. In my final year of college is where we officially became the #HillGang. Our lives changed in a way we both weren’t expecting, eventually I graduated college with my teaching degree and decided it was time to move back home with more family support for Nikolai Jr. and myself. This is where the #HillGang truly became tested which led us to the decision of ending our relationship. This break ultimately allowed us time to heal, mature, learn and get a better understanding of what we needed from one another to become healthier partners for our son, so we gave #HillGang tribe another chance. Soon after we decided to grow our family and was blessed with a sweet baby girl named Kai’Ann. She became the apple of our eyes that helped us get back to what we cared so much about and couldn’t see ourselves losing, our family. Fast forward two years, where Nikolai was planning my 33rd birthday party, much to my surprise which than turned into our engagement party. The night went perfectly, where we were ready to have the time of our lives with friends and family. That quickly became something else more emotional for me when I saw a video from my father just to turn around and see Nikolai on one knee. At that moment, our whole lives changed in a way we finally wanted it to. That would also eventually lead to a new home, in a new city, in a new state. From there our new story began and the rest is history.
