The Chicago City Marathon is that Sunday 10/13, so expect road closures downtown and slightly busier flights in and out of Chicago that weekend. In South Bend, Indiana (closest large city to venue, 20 minutes away) on Saturday night there is a big football game with Notre Dame playing Stanford and most hotels will be sold out in South Bend if you are coming in early/Saturday night.

Closest airports are Chicago O'hare (ORD)- 1 hour 55 minutes away, Chicago Midway (MDW)- 1 hour 45 minutes away, Grand Rapids Gerald Ford (GRR)- 1 hour 40 minutes away, and South Bend (SBN)- 17 minutes away

We have made advance reservations at a locked in special rate ($107 + tax) for 60 rooms with either 1 king or 2 queen beds that are available to everyone on a first come, first serve basis. Some rooms are connecting and/or have a sofa bed and rollaways for young children. 269-338-8300 There is no special rate here but each room is a suite and offers a pull-out sofa bed. They do not have much availability for the October 12/13th weekend.
