It all began at a college bar when we were both attending The University of Northern Iowa. (Yes a bar, the best place to meet someone right??) I struck up a conversation with Matt, surprise surprise, and we instantly clicked. We have been through so much together- stressful college days, getting our first puppy, changing jobs, buying our first house, and now marriage!

Matt had gotten tickets to a Chris Stapleton concert for Christmas. We got up that morning not knowing it was going to be such a special day. (Yes, Matt too.) He had no idea he was going to ask me to marry him! He had told me from the time we started talking about marriage, that it would never be on a special occasion- it would be when I least expected it! During one of the songs, Matt asked the question I had been waiting for. This ended up to be exactly what I dreamed it would be- a moment between just the two of us!
