Dearest Friends & Family, In case you may not have known, Eric and I were legally married here in California on our original wedding date of 8-8-2020. We were not about to allow COVID-19 to get the best of us.! Although it was sad to not be able to celebrate physically with our friends and family from back home, we were touched by so many of you who were able to join us via Zoom that day. Thank you!! Our 2nd postponed wedding date of 10-2-2021 proved to be quite a celebration of its own, as I was in active labor with our baby girl, Juliette. Our baby, seemingly impatient just like both her parents, decided to enter this world 9 days early on 10-3-2021, forever changing our lives for the better. She is the cutest thing we have ever laid eyes on and is a ball of sass already. We cannot wait for all of you to meet her come April :) Eric and I are very much aware that we may no longer hold the spotlight when April 9th arrives!
Dearest Loving Family & Friends, You may have noticed our reception date has changed once (or shall we say TWICE) again.. ...but for good reason! Eric and I have been blessed to be able to announce that we have a baby girl coming in October..!! We are both over the moon and super excited to add a new adventure of being parents to a little nugget soon. :) :) We sincerely thank you all for your understanding and are greatly appreciating all the outpouring of love from you <3 Baby girl is already so loved!
Like a lot of today's modern romantic love stories, we met on a dating app (more specifically, OKCupid).! Even though we were what Eric considered "long-distance", with him having been a Brooklynite and I on the Upper West Side, we had an amazing first date at Thalia in Midtown. Eric, being the extroverted and fun-loving person that he is, didn't waste any time and invited me to a 90's dance party with his friends in BK the following night. We had an insane amount of fun together, and it didn't take long for us to realize that we were indeed each other's matches. The rest was history..!
Eric has always had a soft spot for penguins. As his father had proposed to his mother in front of a gorilla cage at the zoo, he intended on creating a tradition that our future generations could uphold. After enduring a grueling set of job interviews while we were in California, Eric set out with an elaborate plan to propose to me with a grape-flavored ring pop (which I had jokingly told him I wanted) in front of the penguin exhibit. He handed two strangers his phone and instructed them to take some photos of us. He then dropped to one knee and utterly surprised me with a proposal to marry him. Best surprise ever!
