Phoenix Art Museum

Phoenix Art Museum

1625 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85004

We absolutely love the Phoenix Art Museum — it's always changing, so there's something new every time I go. One of Alivia’s favorite exhibits is You Who Are Getting Obliterated in the Dancing Swarm of Fireflies by Yayoi Kusama. It’s this incredible room full of LED lights and mirrors that makes you feel like you're surrounded by endless lights. It’s kind of magical! She also really enjoys the Thorne Miniature Rooms — these super detailed tiny rooms from different time periods. They’re so cool to look at, like little time capsules. And, if you get a chance, definitely check out the basement. There’s always something interesting down there, whether it’s a unique exhibit or something unexpected. HOURS Monday | Closed Tuesday | Closed Wednesday – Friday | 10 am – 8 pm Saturday – Sunday | 10 am – 5 pm Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesday | 3 – 8 pm

It features immersive themed spaces, local art, craft cocktails, and rotating food vendors—all set in a historic house with major creative vibes.

Palma

Palma

903 North 2nd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85004

Palma is a tropical-inspired cocktail bar and restaurant nestled in downtown Phoenix’s Roosevelt Row. Surrounded by palm trees, fire pits, and water features, it offers a laid-back, resort-like atmosphere. The menu features Asian-inspired dishes like sushi, noodles, and Korean fried chicken, complemented by craft cocktails and a vibrant music scene. It’s an ideal spot for brunch, dinner, or late-night gatherings.

Dobbins Lookout

Dobbins Lookout

10919 South Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85042

Dobbins Lookout is one of our favorite spots in Phoenix — it has one of the best views in the entire valley. It sits at the top of South Mountain and gives you a full panoramic view of the city. It is especially gorgeous at sunset when the whole skyline lights up. It’s an easy drive to the top, so you do not have to hike unless you want to. The lookout area has stone walls you can sit on, great photo spots, and wide open views in every direction. If you go in the evening, plan to arrive a little early since it can get busy on nice nights. But it is totally worth it — it feels peaceful, romantic, and a little magical. HOURS Monday – Sunday | 5 am – 7 pm Gate times can vary slightly by season, but the lookout typically closes at sunset. Let me know if you want more places in this format.
