Question

What is handfasting?

Answer

Handfasting is an old Celtic tradition that involves using a cord or tie to bind the bride and groom's hands together. This is where the phrase "tying the knot" comes from! Our custom handfasting cord is adorned with roses on five Celtic love knots, signifying our love and the vows that we are making to each other. Question

What is a ring warming ceremony?

Answer

The ring warming ceremony is a way for a few chosen family and friends to add additional blessings to the day. During the ceremony, Eric (Adam's dad) and Mike (Megan's dad) will start with their child's ring and pass it through the first two rows. Each person is encouraged to say a quick blessing, prayer, or well-wish over the ring while holding it before passing it to the next person. By the time the rings return to Megan and Adam, they will have been blessed and warmed by their family.

Question

I have a question that hasn't been answered but I don't want to overwhelm Megan and Adam?

Answer

All questions are good questions, but we appreciate not wanting to overwhelm us! We have a shared email address that anyone can send questions too and, if we see enough of the same question, we'll update the website to reflect. Both of us are able to see the email and respond as quickly as possible! Email: futurespains2026@gmail.com
