Lauren and Ryan are your typical meet-cute story - two 20-something-year-olds swiping right on each other on Hinge. From before they had even met, Ryan knew Lauren was the woman he wanted to be with, and from their first date, both of them knew they had finally met their person. From a shared love of movies, to a passion for helping others, to both being foodies (and both excellent cooks as Ryan would exclaim and Lauren would correctly deny), the future Kilians have been perfect for one another since the start. Looking back on the beginning, it was clear why our couple of the hour meshed so well. Ryan was able to swoon Lauren from his first Hinge message, asking her about their favorite book - Fourth Wing. *Writer's note - I can see her eyes rolling in the back of her head right now as she reads this, knowing in all reality it had nothing to do with that most unfortunate book series and everything to do with my dashing looks and innate sense of humor...back to third person.* Lauren and Ryan's first date was on March 10th, 2025, and consisted of all the classics. Glow-in-the-dark mini golf, a pricy dinner establishment (Panera), and a realization from Ryan's end that he just met the most adorable dog in the world. Shout out Aspen. He asked her to be his girlfriend just a few hours in, and their journey only skyrocketed from there. Subtle as we both are, Lauren was in fact the first person to express love for the other, calling Ryan, "My love" on multiple occasions before he stepped in and said, "I love you" one night. Putting Lauren at much relief as she no longer would be forced to internally freak out each time she slipped up. Although Ryan will say he thinks she did it on purpose, and she truly holds the title of saying the L-word first. Lauren and Ryan would go on to become ingrained in each other's families and friend groups, sharing countless memories with the most wonderful people. Eventually, they would move in with each other on October 1st, 2025. Some might look at this and say our timeline is a little faster than usual, moving in together in less than 7 months, getting engaged before the year mark, and getting married a near 6 months after that. However, Lauren and Ryan have never been known to do things the normal way, and *writer's note 2.0 - there is not a single more incredible, passionate, intelligent, hilarious, or beautiful person on this Earth. I wouldn't have it any other way, and I can't wait to marry you.* As they say, when you know, you know. Thank you all for reading this sneak peek into our lives and our story.
