Like all great 21st-century romances, ours began… on a dating app. (We’ll let you guess who messaged first.) After some top-tier texting and mild internet stalking, we decided to meet in person at Knotty Pine Brewery. Between the craft beer, the easy conversation, and the fact that neither of us tried to sneak out mid-date, we knew something was brewing—pun absolutely intended. From there, things took off. We bonded over football Saturdays and Sundays, tackled the entire Columbus Ale Trail like true champions, and spent a lot of time spoiling our dog, Griffin. (He’s convinced he’s the real star of this relationship.) Our adventures have taken us everywhere from the red rocks of Arizona to lazy weekends on the couch, debating which team has the worst play-calling. And then, on June 14, 2025, during a walk at Antrim Park, things got really exciting—Nick got down on one knee, Karen said yes, and Griffin was just thrilled his humans were getting married and Karen would officially be his mom (he knew it all along). Now we’re counting down the days until we get to celebrate with all our favorite people. We can’t wait to raise a glass, dance a little, and start the next chapter surrounded by the best crew we could ask for.
