Thanks to modern technology two people who live 0.8 miles apart met on an online dating app called Hinge. After a short time talking online we decided to meet for drinks at a local and what became our favorite watering hole, The Famous Bar. In true form Dan was early. I was late. I took a sit at the bar and Dan decided to stand the ENTIRE date. I thought for sure he was standing to make a quick exit at a moments notice, but his story is that he was sitting all day at work and wanted to stand. To this day I still give him a hard time for standing the whole date. One date led to another and the rest is history.

We were celebrating Christmas at my parent's house in Northern Kentucky. We had just finished opening presents when someone said there was still one more present under the tree for me. I opened up the box and it was an ornament that said, "Our first Christmas Engaged". When I looked up Dan was on one knee and asked me to marry him. I of course said YES and we were engaged!
