We met in the summer of 2011 through mutual friends. Josh's best friend actually lived next door to Jessica's best friend in college at Clemson. So it turned out that Jessica actually already knew most of Josh's friends. Fortunately, that simple fact just helped us to quickly solidify the feeling of what already seemed like we'd "known each forever". We started dating in early August of 2011 and moved in together in late September of that year. From Nashville, TN (well technically, Murfreesboro), we moved to Charleston, SC in 2012, and then back home to Greenville in 2013. We bought our first house in 2014, then moved to Greensboro, NC in 2015. In 2016 we made the jump to move across the country to Seattle, WA. From there we moved to San Francisco in 2017, and back to Seattle in 2018. In October of 2019 we bought a "fixer upper" together on 13 acres, and it is here that we plan to settle down and plant roots. Our 9 years together have brought us many adventures, successes, career changes, and even a few bumps in the road. But we've tolerated each other well enough thus far that we are pretty sure we can make it forever. (Once you've moved with someone 12 times and lived to tell about it... you can pretty much do anything. ) We are now looking forward to the next chapters of our lives together as we build our careers, remodel our home, develop our property, and grow our family beyond 2 people and 2 dogs.
