Our Wedding Celebration!

We met during our freshman year's moving day at Denison University. We remained in the same friend group throughout college but it became clear that we kept getting closer than our other friends. The running joke of our relationship is how we have a hard time recalling if the things we have done together were when we were "just friends" or if we were dating. The truth is, we always shared this incredible bond that pulled us to one another. In the summer of our Junior year of college, we had an incredible time visiting Guatemala (Patricia's home country) together and we spent the rest of our summer nights losing sleep over lengthy phone conversations. We decided to finally leap and started dating once we got back to campus for our Senior year of college. Shortly after, we realized that we both hoping and praying for the day to be able to join together in marriage and celebrate our love with our loved ones.

Zach took me (Patricia) to a brewery in Lancaster, Ohio where we had our first date back in the fall of 2017. Right at about sunset, Zach took me for a walk by the pond outside of the brewery while he shared special memories about our relationship. When we arrived at the dock of the pond, the same place where we sat down and watched the sunset on our first date, Zach got on one knee and asked me to marry him. I exclaimed "yes!" and hugged him so hard we both tumbled onto the ground.

We got married during an intimate wedding ceremony at the Dow Gardens in Midland, Michigan. We were incredibly eager to begin our life together but, being newly college grads, we did not have the funds to celebrate the beginning of our union with all of our family and friends. We were blessed to receive so many warm thoughts and wishes from our loved ones. We then had to reschedule this event three times to be mindful of the health and well being of all. We are immensely excited to FINALLY be able to share our happiness with our family and friends in the Fall of 2021. We can't wait to see you all!
