The couple met while working in Ride Operations at Cedar Point. Brittany had just moved to Sandusky Ohio to start her first season at Top Thrill Dragster, and Ryan was in his third and final season at Rougarou. The two were introduced on the first day of ride training. They quickly became friends and that friendship continued to grow until their first date in October 2018.

Ryan had invited Brittany to visit him in Michigan to go to a haunted house. Halloween events have always been an interest they shared. She arrived to his house in the early afternoon where they went to see the movie Goosebumps 2 before dinner with a couple of his friends. They ended the night at the attraction, Erebus.

The couple hosted a costume party at their home in Michigan. The theme was Disney and the they were dressed in Avengers Quantum suits. Ryan’s best woman, Kellie, asked for a photo of the couple in their costumes. After the photo Brittany stepped away and Kellie told her to come back because the pictures turned out blurry. When Brittany turned around Ryan was already down on his knee.
