This story actually starts back in the summer of 2010. They both ended up at a mutual friend’s house for an end of summer get together. Right away they hit it off and became great friends. For the next two years, they would be together every weekend with their group of friends, but neither of them was ever brave enough to ask the other on a date. Flash forward seven years to the summer of 2017. Chelsea met her sister at Sportsman's to celebrate her return from California. Meanwhile, Adam decided to go to the same bar to play billiards with his friends. After not seeing each other for a few years, they decided it would be nice to catch up. They exchanged numbers and promised to see each other again sometime. At the end of summer, Adam finally worked up the courage to ask Chelsea on a real date. They went to the drive-in and have been inseparable ever since.

While in Hawaii, Adam took Chelsea to the southern most tip of the United States to a beautiful western facing cliff that overlooks the ocean to watch the sunset. After the sun had almost completely set, and Chelsea asked if they were ready to leave, Adam asked to stay "just 2 more minutes". He then worked up the courage to make his big romantic speech (he was extremely nervous and just spouting off how much he loves her, pretty sure he blacked out and doesn't remember much of this part), got down on one knee, and popped the question. She said yes, tears were shed, and they spent the week in Hawaii in their romantic bliss before coming back and sharing the news.
