You could call it fate — or just really good matchmaking. We met thanks to a mutual friend who had a hunch we might be perfect for each other. Andrew first saw Alex at a friend’s wedding, and it was love at first sight… even though we didn’t get the chance to meet that night. A few months later, the stars aligned. Andrew moved home from Utah and asked Alex out on a date — dinner at Trapeze in Athens, GA. The food was great, but it was the effortless, hours-long conversation that made the night unforgettable. From that moment on, something just clicked. We quickly realized we shared more than just mutual friends — we had the same core values, the same taste, and the same deep appreciation for the relationships in our lives. It wasn’t just easy — it felt meant to be. From the very beginning, we were each other’s safe space, biggest fan, and best friend. Over the years, we’ve created memories that have become the foundation of our relationship. One of our favorite traditions is our annual Labor Day trip to Lake Chatuge. The very first trip was a birthday surprise Andrew planned down to the tiniest detail — favorite snacks, thoughtful meals, and a cozy rental house. That weekend became extra special: it’s where we told each other "I love you" for the first time. Fast forward to October 5th, 2024 — Andrew planned the perfect proposal on the Mastercraft on Lake Lanier. It was an overwhelming, joy-filled moment that Alex may or may not have cried through entirely (and might have forgotten to say “yes” right away). Waiting back at the dock were both of our families and closest friends, ready to celebrate our next chapter with us. It was everything we dreamed it would be — and more. We chose Lilly Creek Farms for our wedding day because of its natural beauty and the peace we felt the moment we saw it. We’re counting down the days until May 1st, 2026, when we finally get to say “I do” surrounded by the people we love most. We’re most excited about marrying each other — plain and simple. Everything else is just the cherry on top. To us, forever means building a life full of adventure, meaningful connections, and unconditional love. We dream of having a family, growing old side by side, and soaking in the little moments — like movie nights with our favorite Ben & Jerry’s (Half Baked, always). We’re so glad you’re here, sharing this moment with us. Our story is just getting started, and we can’t wait for what’s ahead.
