FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by November 30th. We kindly ask that you respond by this date so we can reserve a seat in your honor. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to accommodate responses received after November 30th.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! We are registered through Amazon. We also have a “money tree” at the reception for those who prefer to give a monetary gift. If you wish to bless us in this way, you may do so by gifting in a card. Please know that your presence is truly the greatest gift; we are just grateful to celebrate with you!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The doors of the Gelman Stained Glass Museum will open at 4:45 PM. We strongly encourage you to arrive at this time to take advantage of this magnificent museum. Arriving early will give you time to fully admire and appreciate the stunning works on display. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 PM. Please plan to arrive early and be seated no later than 5:20 PM. Out of respect for the wedding procession, guests arriving after 5:20 will be asked to wait outside of the museum until the bride has reached the altar before entering.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. We kindly request semi-formal / cocktail attire. Men: suits or button-down dress shirts with slacks and dress shoes (a tie or jacket is welcome but not required). Women: gowns, cocktail dresses, or other elegant formal wear. The Museum does not permit large purses or bags; however, a clutch purse is allowed.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation will note the number of seats reserved for you (or your family). We cannot accommodate beyond the number listed on the invitation, as our reception space has limited seating. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Our ceremony venue has a strict policy on the number of children. If your child has been included in our headcount, you’ll see that noted in your invitation. Otherwise, make arrangements for childcare so we can stay within our limits. The Gelman Stained Glass Museum has special guidelines about children to help protect the delicate artwork and ensure security. We truly appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!
