How We Met

Where there's a helpful smile on every aisle

Lauren and Ryan met at their first job (Hy-Vee). Turns out that Ryan and Lauren shared a mutual friend. The three of them would hang out shopping, exploring downtown, or maybe enjoying a bowl of Panera soup. A couple years later Ryan and Lauren were going through some challenging life events that brought the two of them very close together. They knew that they were in each others life for a reason. That's when they made the decision to start dating on February 27, 2016.

The Proposal

My heart is in The Smokey Mountains

Ryan and Lauren hit the road for a much needed get away to the mountains. One morning they woke up decided to take the scenic route through the Smokey Mountains to North Carolina. They pulled off the road multiple times to take pictures and take in the scenery. They drove a little further up the mountain and noticed a waterfall just off the road. Ryan turned around so they could go explore. Ryan then decided that this was the prefect place to get down on one knee. Lauren said yes and they went a little further up the road and went on a hike up to Laurel Falls. They then ended the evening with an amazing dinner at Cherokee Grill. This special day happened on January 23, 2019.
