What is the dress code?

This is a formal wedding, but we encourage you to wear attire that is colorful and cheerful.

What’s the weather like in early September in Minnesota?

Answer

Typically, it’s still quite warm during the day, but evenings can get cool, especially near the lakes. We recommend bringing a light sweater or shawl for nighttime.

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Yes! We have a room block at Arrowwood Resort & Conference Center in Alexandria, MN. Please call the resort directly and mention the “Schiller + Erickson Wedding Block” to receive the group rate — online booking is not available for this block. Rooms are available for September 4–6, 2026, at a special rate of $209 per night (Deluxe Standard Room with 1 King or 2 Queen beds).

How should I get there if flying?

Answer

The nearest airport is Minneapolis–Saint Paul (MSP), about a 2-hour drive. Renting a car is the easiest way to reach the wedding venue.

Is there a shuttle service available?

Answer

Yes! Shuttle service will be provided to and from Carlos Creek Winery. Before the ceremony: The shuttle will arrive at Lake Darling at 3:00 PM and depart promptly at 3:10 PM for Carlos Creek Winery. It will stop at Arrowwood Resort from 3:30–3:45 PM before continuing to the winery. After the reception: The shuttle will run every hour beginning at 9:30 PM, with the final departure at 11:30 PM. Evening drop-offs will be at Lake Darling and Arrowwood Resort. Guests are welcome to leave their vehicles at the venue overnight and pick them up by 12:00 PM the following day.

Please RSVP by July 15, 2026, as we will need to provide final counts to our vendors

Are children invited?

Answer

As much as we adore your children, we have chosen to keep our wedding primarily adults-only with the exception of close family members' children. If your child's name appears on your RSVP, they are invited. Otherwise, we kindly ask that you arrange childcare for the evening and enjoy a night out celebrating with us. We appreciate your understanding and can't wait to celebrate together!
