4pm-10pm September 21st, 2024 Sanders Estate 5516 S 277th St, Auburn, WA 98001 We are hoping to start the ceremony by 4:15 at the latest, so we have more time for dancing the night away :) so please plan to arrive at 4pm or a little earlier.
Both of the following options are 15 minutes or less from Sanders Estate with no traffic: CEDARBROOK LODGE Cedarbrook Lodge comes highly recommended by members of Nick's family and the staff at Sanders Estate. ***Please stay tuned as there is a discounted rate on a block of rooms at this hotel, which we will be updating this website with that information as soon as we are able (next few days). If you want to look around at their website or ask any questions in the interim, feel free to browse/ask based on the contact information below. Please plan for possible traffic delays. Our front desk team can assist with alternative routes. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your cooperation."
We appreciate everyone who is coming to our wedding especially on such short notice given our unusual circumstances! For those who are traveling from out of town, there will be an event the Friday evening before the wedding (9/20), and a Sunday brunch (9/22). Please stay tuned and make your travel arrangements accordingly. Feel free to contact Carla Meyer (Dani’s Mom) at 310-435-6326 if you have any questions before this website is updated.
This depends significantly on where you plan to stay and what you might want to do during non-wedding events. If you are staying at Cedarbrook Lodge and flying into SeaTac Airport, renting a car may not be necessary. The Lodge offers complimentary shuttle service to/from SeaTac. The shuttle will also drop you off at Seattle’s fabulous light rail system, which can take you very close to all of Seattle’s major attractions: Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, Chihuly Exhibit, Dick's Drive In and much more! We have not been told of any "perks" like this at the Best Western, but if you find out something we don't know, please share and we can update the website. On the Wedding Day, regardless of where you are staying, we will have a bar at the event. So, if you plan to imbibe, we recommend you take an Uber/Lyft/Good Ol' Taxi to and from the event so you so you can have lots of fun dancing the night away with Nick and Dani and don't have to worry about your ride home.
There is a parking lot for plenty of cars based on the guest list pretty close to where the ceremony will be happening. If guests need assistance getting from their cars to the ceremony, there is a golf cart available to take you. Please just factor this into your arrival time. Again, please remember we will have a bar at the event. So, if you plan to imbibe, we recommend you take an Uber/Lyft/Old Fashioned Taxi to and from the event so you so you can have lots of fun dancing the night away with Nick and Dani and don't have to worry about your ride home.
The wedding (and Sunday brunch and most likely Friday dinner for out of towners) will be ENTIRELY OUTDOORS. This is due to Dani's immunocompromised status. Weather patterns are variable towards the end of the month in Seattle, so there will be tented/covered areas and heater lamps as needed. However, we recommend that you pack warmer layers for as the evening progresses.
Attire is dressy, fun, DANCEABLE and COMFORTABLE. Since weather in Seattle is unpredictable in late September, please check weather as it gets closer to the wedding date, but note that things can change day of. So it is probably safest to have a "main outfit" mostly fit for summer, but ensure you have light or heavier layers for later in the evening on top of your "main outfit" - style be damned! :) As far as shoes, there is grass on the property and it is possible you may need to walk up and down a steep hill between the ceremony and the reception. With that in mind, please avoid high heels unless you are an absolute pro - we don't want any injuries! We'd recommend wedges over heels... and the bride may or may not be wearing Hoka tennis shoes... so the bar is set for comfort for sure!
