FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is black tie. We encourage guests to embrace the elegance of the evening—tuxedos, formal gowns, and sophisticated attire are all perfect choices. We would love to see your best jewel tones! Think navy, emerald, ruby, teal, sapphire, or plum. ** Please keep in mind the DAC has a strict dress code. For men jackets must be worn at all times! For women please wear a floor length gown.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by November 1st. Due to venue capacity and deadlines we will not be able to accommodate those who RSVP after this date.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving to the ceremony around 1:10 to allow enough time to park and get settled before mass starts.

Question

What should I do between ceremony and reception?

Answer

As the ceremony and reception are separated by a few hours, guests may wish to enjoy some of Detroit’s nearby offerings. Suggestions include: -Visiting the Detroit Institute of Arts for a brief afternoon of art and culture -Relaxing at a nearby café -Check into or returning to your hotel to rest before the evening festivities - See "things to do" tab for more options We encourage guests to use this time to unwind and prepare for the celebration to follow.
